Reckless Handling of Firearm Reported at Longview Apartments

A resident of the Longview Apartments in Woodbridge, identified as Deandrae Ladale Spradley, was arrested on January 12 following an incident involving a firearm. According to the Prince William Police Department, officers responded to a shots fired call at the apartment complex on Lynn Street. The investigation revealed that Spradley retrieved a firearm from his vehicle and brandished it towards a maintenance worker in the parking lot.

The accused then fired multiple rounds into the air before being detained by arriving officers. Fortunately, no injuries or property damage were reported. Spradley now faces charges of willful discharge of a firearm in a public place, reckless handling of a firearm, and brandishing.

Burglaries Reported at Potomac Mills Mobil Gas and Local Residences

Authorities are investigating two separate incidents of burglary in Woodbridge and Dumfries. On January 15, officers responded to a burglary at the Potomac Mills Mobil Gas station on Gideon Drive. Entry was forced into the building through a rear bay door and then into the office area and ATM. An undisclosed amount of money and tobacco products were reported missing.

In another incident, a residential burglary was reported at a residence on Scarlet Pine Road in Dumfries. The burglary is believed to have occurred between January 5 and January 8, with no signs of forced entry. Cabinets were reported missing from the residence.

Additionally, a separate residential burglary occurred on Sunrise Court in Manassas. Entry was made into the home through an unsecured front door, and an undisclosed amount of money was reported missing. Investigations into both residential burglaries are ongoing.

Domestic Disputes Result in Arrests for Strangulation

Woodbridge and Stafford were the locations of two separate domestic disputes that led to arrests for strangulation. On January 14, officers responded to Riverside Station Apartments on Big Crest Lane in Woodbridge. The victim, a 28-year-old woman, had been involved in a verbal altercation with Quinton Jaquille Thomas. The altercation escalated, with Thomas grabbing the victim’s neck and striking her. Minor injuries were reported, and Thomas was subsequently arrested.

On January 11, a similar incident occurred at The Crossings at Summerland Apartments on Keelingwood Close in Woodbridge. The victim, a 14-year-old male juvenile, was involved in a verbal altercation with Alvaro Jasmany Toledo-Garcia. Toledo-Garcia struck the victim and grabbed his neck before fleeing the apartment. Upon returning, Toledo-Garcia was detained by officers. The victim received treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

Assault on Corrections Officer at Prince William-Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center

A corrections officer at the Prince William-Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center in Manassas was assaulted by an inmate on January 13. The inmate, identified as Jamal Donniel James, grabbed the officer’s arm and pulled it into the cell. The officer sustained minor injuries to their hand but was able to separate from James. James has been charged with assault and battery on an ADC officer.
