Three people have suffered burn injuries after a fire broke out in a house in Shera Kot, Lahore. The incident occurred on Monday in Jafria colony, Band Road, when a gas heater caused the fire to engulf the entire house. Unfortunately, three individuals were trapped inside at the time.
Upon noticing the fire, nearby residents rushed to control the flames and immediately called for rescue teams. Firefighters swiftly arrived at the scene, successfully extinguishing the fire and evacuating the victims. The injured individuals, identified as Irzana Omar (18), Omar Altaf (37), and Zainab Omar (10), were then transported to Jinnah Hospital for treatment.
In a separate incident within the jurisdiction of Wah Saddar Police Station, a man was shot and killed, while another sustained injuries. The first incident involved an Afghan national named Younas Khan, who was fatally shot by two masked assailants on GT Road near Wah Garden. The perpetrators managed to escape without being apprehended. Police sources have indicated that the motive behind the murder may be an ongoing dispute related to a marriage issue.
In the second incident, a man named Ahmed Hussain was shot and injured during a robbery attempt in the Hussainabad area. Hussain had traveled from Chitral to visit his relatives and was passing through Hussainabad on Jallala Road when two individuals on a motorcycle intercepted him. They demanded his belongings at gunpoint, but when Hussain resisted, the armed robbers shot him and fled the scene.
Wah Saddar Police have registered two separate cases in relation to these incidents and have launched a thorough investigation to identify and apprehend the culprits.
