Tuscaloosa Police Arrest Three Men in Connection with Fatal shooting in Buhl Community
In a devastating turn of events, a 20-year-old man, identified as Cayden Nolen, lost his life in a shooting incident that occurred in the Buhl community of Tuscaloosa County. The Tuscaloosa Violent Unit’s Captain, Jack Kennedy, shared that the incident took place during a gathering after an altercation among several individuals. As a result of the shooting, four victims were struck.
Tragically, despite the efforts of Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office deputies to save Nolen’s life, their attempts were unsuccessful. Two other victims were critically injured and currently remain in stable condition after receiving medical attention. Thankfully, a fourth victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
In response to the incident, the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit and TCSO Crime Scene Unit immediately launched an investigation. As the investigation progressed, three suspects were identified and apprehended in different locations within Tuscaloosa County.
Following a thorough examination, authorities charged 22-year-old Dallas Eugene Clark from Northport, 23-year-old Zachary Tyler Smith from Buhl, and 21-year-old Jarret Tyler Booth, also from Buhl, with one count of murder and three counts of attempted murder. It is important to note that additional charges may be pending as the investigation continues.
For now, all three suspects have been taken into custody and are being held without bond at the Tuscaloosa County Jail.
The incident has left the community in shock and mourning, as they come to terms with the loss of a young life. Residents are urged to remain vigilant and report any information that may assist in the ongoing investigation.
