Manhunt Underway After Multiple Deaths in Illinois Homes
The Joliet Police Department is currently investigating a tragic incident that occurred on Monday afternoon in Illinois. Multiple people were found dead in two homes, sparking a manhunt for the suspect.
Authorities are searching for Romeo Nance, a 23-year-old man who is believed to be driving a red Toyota Camry with the license plate number Q730412. Joliet Police Detectives are actively seeking his whereabouts and have urged the public to be cautious as Nance is considered armed and dangerous.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not released the identities of the victims or provided specific details about the number of fatalities. However, it has been confirmed that all the victims suffered fatal gunshot wounds.
This shocking incident follows a series of other shootings in the area, and Nance is also wanted in connection with those cases. Just a day before the multiple deaths, deputies responded to a call about a man bleeding from a gunshot wound to the head. Unfortunately, the victim, identified as Toyosi Bakare, a 28-year-old Nigerian resident, succumbed to his injuries. Another man was also shot in the leg but survived with non-life-threatening injuries.
The police have reason to believe that Nance is connected to these incidents as well, as the vehicle he is believed to be driving matches the one seen near the shooting scenes.
Nance has a history with law enforcement, having been charged about a year ago for attempting to shoot a woman multiple times. He was arrested after a brief struggle with officers.
The Joliet Police Department has urged anyone with information about Nance’s whereabouts or the red Toyota Camry to come forward and contact them immediately. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working diligently to ensure the safety of the community.
This tragic event has left the community in shock and mourning, and the police are determined to bring the suspect to justice.
