**Body of Woman Found on Manhattan Beach Identified as Jennifer Hanie**

The body of a woman discovered on the sands of Manhattan Beach has been identified as Jennifer Hanie, 31, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner’s office. The grim finding was made by a vigilant lifeguard near the 2300 block of The Strand on Friday morning.

The boyfriend of the victim, Hanie, reported that he and a friend began searching for her at around 6:40 a.m. after she went missing. He told police that he had last seen her near the water line. As soon as the Manhattan Beach Police Department received the report, they launched an immediate investigation and reached out to nearby agencies for any similar missing person reports. The search efforts were supported by the Los Angeles County lifeguards and the United States Coast Guard, who combed the beach and ocean for any sign of Hanie.
