Ajay Atirek Katiyar : “Kanpur Constable Recruitment: 7 Arrested for Rigging”

Kanpur: A major crackdown on exam cheating has led to the arrest of six individuals in Kanpur. The gang members were caught red-handed as they prepared to rig the state police constable recruitment exam. The operation was carried out by a joint effort of Kanpur Commissionerate police and the Special Task Force’s Lucknow and Kanpur units in two separate incidents on Saturday.

Inspector Dhananjay Kumar Pandey revealed that the accused were found with a plethora of incriminating evidence, including mobile phones, Aadhar cards, driving licenses, voter cards, PAN cards, ATM cards, cash, vehicles, electronic devices, fake seals, admit cards, cheques, and educational certificates. The individuals arrested were identified as Ajay Atirek Katiyar, Anil Katiyar, Veerpal Singh, and Neeraj Kumar.

In a separate operation, the STF’s Kanpur Unit apprehended two men attempting to leak the exam question paper and deceive candidates in the Hanumant Vihar police station area. The suspects, Nitin Singh Tomar and Sarthak Singh Yadav, were caught with photocopies of admit cards belonging to 42 candidates. They were promptly handed over to the authorities and sent to jail.

The police had received information about individuals from Naubasta and Hanumant Vihar areas engaging in fraudulent practices related to the constable recruitment exam. Following the leads, STF successfully thwarted the cheating attempts and brought the culprits to justice.

The ongoing efforts to maintain the integrity of recruitment exams are crucial in ensuring a fair selection process for candidates. The authorities are determined to combat any form of malpractice and uphold the standards of recruitment procedures in the state. Such operations serve as a deterrent to those seeking to cheat the system and emphasize the importance of ethical conduct in competitive exams.
