Brett Owens : “Man Faces 45 Years for Woman Shooting”

In a recent incident in Clermont County, Kentucky, a man named Brett Owens, 41, is facing a potential 45-year jail sentence if convicted on all charges related to a shooting that occurred on February 18th. Owens has been indicted on charges including attempted aggravated murder, attempted murder, kidnapping, felonious assault, tampering with evidence, attempted aggravated burglary, and attempted burglary by Clermont County Prosecuting Attorney Mark Tekulve.

The incident began with a 911 call made around 1 a.m. in Union Township, reporting an armed man, later identified as Owens, banging on a home’s door on Redwood Court. The caller described the suspect and reported that he left the area in an SUV. When police arrived at the home, they discovered a woman had been shot five times. Fortunately, the victim is expected to recover from her injuries.

After some investigation, Union Township police were able to locate Owens at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, where he confessed to the shooting. He was taken into custody and is currently being held in Boone County while awaiting extradition back to Ohio. It remains unclear whether Owens will waive his right to extradition.
