Rashaun Anthony Brown : Accomack Sheriff Probes Onancock Murder

Sheriff W. Todd Wessells, from the Accomack County Sheriff’s Office, reported a disturbing incident that occurred on February 13, 2024, at around 8:32 p.m. The authorities received a distressing call about gunshots being fired in the vicinity of the 26000 block of Stumpy Lane in Onancock, Virginia.

Upon arriving at the scene, deputies were met with a grim sight – an unresponsive male with visible gunshot wounds. The victim was later identified as Rashaun Anthony Brown, a 26-year-old resident of Onancock. Tragically, Brown was pronounced dead at the scene, leaving a community in shock and mourning.

Following standard procedure, the deceased was transported to the Norfolk Medical Examiner’s Office for further examination to determine the exact cause of death. The Accomack County Sheriff’s Office led the investigation into this heartbreaking incident, with assistance from the Onley Police Department, Melfa Volunteer Fire Department, and the Accomack County Department of Public Safety.
