Crystal White : “Kansas Knife Attack: Police Investigate Fatal Incident”

A tragic incident unfolded in Douglas County as law enforcement authorities are currently investigating the death of a woman who was found with apparent stab wounds in a tent near the Kansas River in Lawrence. The victim, identified as 51-year-old Crystal White from Lawrence, was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders.

Just after 4:30 a.m. on Thursday, patrol officers responded to the unsanctioned camp located near 100 Maple and discovered the lifeless body of Crystal White. The Lawrence Police Department spokesperson, Laura McCabe, confirmed the presence of stab wounds on the victim.

Upon the discovery of the crime scene, law enforcement immediately initiated their investigation. Patrol officers began interviewing witnesses, while the investigations unit and other specialized units were deployed to gather evidence. The Lawrence Police Unoccupied Aerial Vehicle (Drone) and Patrol Service Dog Units were also called in to assist in the search for clues.
