Dasari Kishore : Fatal APSRTC bus accident in Kakinada

In a tragic accident that shook the residents of Kakinada, four individuals lost their lives in a devastating collision involving an Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) bus. The incident took place near Padalamma temple on the National Highway under Prathipadu police limits in Kakinada district in the early hours of February 26.

The victims of this heartbreaking accident included a helper at the local temple and three individuals who were repairing their lorry on the highway after a tyre puncture left them stranded. The three individuals, identified as Dasari Kishore, Dasari Suresh, and Bandi Nagayya from Bapatla district, were working on their lorry which was en route from Odisha to Bapatla when tragedy struck.

Another victim, Dimmi Lova Raju, lost his life as he stepped out of Padalamma temple to attend to nature’s call. He was an assistant to the main priest of the temple, adding another layer of sorrow to the already devastating incident. The police swiftly responded to the scene, sending the deceased to Prathipadu area hospital for post-mortem examinations.

Prathipadu Circle Inspector, Mr. Sekhar Babu, provided details of the incident to The Hindu, expressing the deep sorrow felt by the community over the loss of these individuals. The police have initiated an investigation into the accident, registering a case to determine the circumstances that led to this tragedy.

The close-knit community of Kakinada is reeling from the shock of this unexpected loss, coming together to mourn the lives cut short in this heartbreaking accident. As the investigation continues, the families of the deceased and the entire community await answers and seek solace in each other during this difficult time.
