Pennsylvania State Police Reports: Recent Incidents and Arrests

In recent weeks, the Pennsylvania State Police have been busy responding to various incidents and making arrests across the state. Let’s take a closer look at some of the notable cases.

On January 3rd, troopers pulled over a 2019 Toyota at the intersection of Dutton Mill and Pennell roads for traffic violations. During the stop, they discovered a 40-year-old Aston resident in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

A day earlier, a West Chester man reported his deceased father’s 2010 Toyota Corolla missing from Middletown Road in Edgmont. The vehicle had last been seen on December 25th and was believed to be inoperable.

New Year’s morning took a dangerous turn when two troopers assisting a disabled vehicle on Interstate 95 south were struck from behind by a 2010 Acura. While the troopers suffered minor injuries, an Upper Chichester man in the Acura sustained serious injuries and was taken to Christiana Hospital for treatment.

On December 31st, troopers responded to a disabled vehicle on Interstate 476 south in Marple Township. The operator, a 45-year-old man from Newark, Delaware, was later charged with suspicion of driving under the influence.

In another case, a 25-year-old employee of a business on Trimble Lane in Concord was accused of accessing credit card information and using it for personal purchases.

Throughout December, the state police made several DUI arrests. One notable incident occurred when troopers stopped a black 2018 Cadillac XTS on Interstate 95 south and found the 60-year-old Wyncote driver to be under the influence of alcohol.

Other incidents included theft, threats, identity theft, and burglaries. These cases involved individuals stealing merchandise, refusing to pay for services, providing false identification, and even attempting to deposit a washed check.
