The suspect, identified as 20-year-old Jagveer Kundi of Edmonton, has been charged with five counts of robbery and four counts of disguise with intent.
The investigation began after a string of bank robberies took place on October 30, December 22, January 4, and January 6. EPS had been actively searching for a man connected to these incidents. However, their efforts took an unexpected turn when another attempted robbery occurred on January 10 in Sherwood Park.
On that day, the suspect entered a bank and handed a note to a teller, demanding cash. Fortunately, the police were able to intervene swiftly and apprehend the suspect without any further incident.
