Colorado Springs Man Troy Deck Arrested in Connection with Sexual Assault and Invasion of Privacy Cases

Man Arrested for Invasion of Privacy and Sexual Assault in Colorado Springs

Colorado Springs, Colo. – A 54-year-old man, Troy Deck, has been taken into custody on a $200,000 bond following a series of disturbing incidents reported in the area surrounding Colorado College. Last summer, several individuals came forward, stating that they had witnessed someone wearing a ski mask approaching windows in the neighborhood. Deck was subsequently identified as a potential suspect.

This is not the first time Deck has faced legal trouble. In 2020, he pleaded guilty to stalking charges, targeting residents of Colorado Springs both online and at their homes. Prior to that, in 2017, he was arrested on similar charges and was required to register as a sex offender.

Law enforcement officials have now linked Deck to 11 separate instances of invasion of privacy for sexual gratification, as well as a burglary and sexual assault that took place in August. Shockingly, two victims from Deck’s previous cases have reached out to 11News, expressing their concerns and frustrations.

One victim issued a statement, saying, “Hearing the news today not only made my blood boil but also made my heart hurt for the other victims, specifically the women involved. There is no place for this man in our city, and I truly hope our justice system opens its eyes to these crimes, takes them seriously, and makes a change.”

Another victim echoed these sentiments, stating, “Now, unfortunately, I have to ask again, like I asked a judge back in 2020, ‘How many more women and families’ safety, comfort, and sense of privacy need to be violated before he faces real consequences that also keep our community safe?'”

In response to these alarming developments, Colorado College has taken steps to enhance campus safety. During the investigation, they increased patrols in the area, offered students rides home, and assisted in the installation of window locks.

The community remains on high alert as the legal proceedings against Deck continue. Residents are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities.
