In a recent turn of events, a team of suspected animal poachers has been apprehended by the Assam Police for the brutal killing of an adult female rhino in Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve. This tragic incident has shocked the local community and conservationists alike.

According to the authorities, the poachers carried out the killing at the Agoratoli Forest Range on January 21. The carcass of the rhino was found the following day, with its horn removed.
