“Two Suspects Arrested in Stolen Truck Chase in Morris County”

**Law Enforcement Investigating Suspects After High-Speed Chase Involving Stolen Truck**

Morris County, Australia – In a daring turn of events, law enforcement authorities are currently investigating two suspects in connection with multiple allegations following a high-speed chase involving a stolen truck. The incident unfolded at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Friday when a Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to stop a truck near Old Highway 4 and 56 Highway. The vehicle matched the description of a stolen truck reported in Salina.

According to a media release from the Morris County Sheriff’s office, the driver of the stolen truck refused to comply with the Deputy’s signal to stop, thus initiating a dangerous pursuit. The chase spanned multiple jurisdictions, taking authorities through the southeast part of Morris County, Northwest Lyon County, and finally into the Northeast corner of Chase County.

The high-stakes pursuit eventually came to a halt when the driver abandoned the stolen truck near the 2700 block of YY road in Chase County and fled on foot. In response, Deputies from Chase County, Lyon County, and Morris County swiftly established a perimeter and commenced a search of the area.

Thanks to a multi-agency effort, which included the use of drones from the Chase and Lyon County Sheriff Offices, Morris County K9 Kimber, and several Deputies on foot, two suspects were apprehended. They were found approximately half a mile away from the location where the stolen truck had been abandoned.

The suspects have been identified as 41-year-old Jason Oder and 42-year-old Michael Garrett, both of Council Grove. They were promptly transported to the Chase County Detention Center, where they were booked on various charges, including Felony Theft, Felony Possession of Stolen Property, Felony Flee and Elude, and Driving while Suspended.

This incident serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing efforts by law enforcement agencies to combat and apprehend individuals involved in criminal activities. The coordinated efforts of multiple jurisdictions, the use of advanced technologies such as drones, and the relentless determination displayed by the Deputies on the ground were instrumental in bringing these suspects to justice.

As the investigation continues, authorities are urging anyone with additional information related to the case to come forward and assist in the ongoing efforts to ensure the safety and security of our communities.
