David Booker : Man shot, robbed during escort meetup

In a disturbing incident that took place in Nashville, Tennessee, a felon was apprehended this week in connection with an armed robbery that resulted in a man being shot in September 2023.

The harrowing event unfolded when a man had arranged to meet with an escort at his apartment on Brentwood Oaks Drive on September 14, 2023. Shockingly, during the rendezvous, another individual entered the apartment, later identified as 55-year-old David Booker. Booker proceeded to rob and shoot the man, leaving him with life-threatening injuries.

After months of painstaking investigation, authorities were able to identify the escort involved as 31-year-old Olivia Barba. Furthermore, Booker was positively identified through a photo lineup with the victim.

It is important to note that Booker, being a felon, was prohibited from possessing a firearm. In the early hours of Wednesday, February 21, he was taken into custody and is now facing charges of attempted criminal homicide, aggravated robbery, and gun possession as a convicted felon. He is being held on a hefty $700,000 bond.

Adding to the complexity of the situation, Barba, the escort implicated in the incident, had already been incarcerated since November 16, 2023, on a domestic assault charge. The charges of attempted homicide and aggravated robbery have now been added to her existing legal troubles.

This tragic occurrence serves as a reminder of the dangers that can arise in unexpected situations. It is crucial for individuals to exercise caution and vigilance, especially when engaging in unfamiliar or potentially risky encounters.
