by In a shocking incident that unfolded in New Delhi, a casual birthday celebration turned into a tragic altercation resulting in the death of a 23-year-old man. The unfortunate incident took place at a restaurant located in a mall in outer Delhi’s Pitampura area, where a quarrel between the restaurant staff and the customers escalated into a physical confrontation.
The victim, identified as Jatin, had visited the restaurant to celebrate his birthday with his friends when a misunderstanding with the restaurant workers led to a heated argument. The situation quickly turned violent, and Jatin was fatally stabbed in the chest. His friends, Varad and Prashan, also sustained injuries while trying to intervene and save him.
According to a senior police officer, the initial altercation stemmed from a misunderstanding between the restaurant workers and Jatin. The police were alerted to the incident when Jatin was admitted to B M Hospital with severe injuries. Despite initial assumptions of an accident, further investigation revealed the true nature of the incident.
Following the tragic event, a team of police officers, including ACP Mangolpuri and the SHO of Mangolpuri, swiftly responded to the scene. An FIR was registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, and the Special Staff of the Outer district was assigned to investigate the case.
In response to the seriousness of the matter, the police diligently procured CCTV footage, gathered local information, and interviewed witnesses to piece together the sequence of events. As a result, six individuals, including the restaurant owner, were detained for further questioning as the investigation continues.
