In 2023, Baltimore witnessed 262 recorded homicides, a 21% decrease from the previous year’s figure of 330. Despite this decrease, the city’s crime rate remains a significant concern for both the authorities and the citizens. The death of Noah Gibson is a stark reminder of the ongoing struggle against crime in the city.
