The victim, identified as Lalita Amol Singh Jadhav, was 38 years old at the time of her death. Her husband, Amol Singh Murali Jadhav, aged 26, had married her under family and societal pressure, despite her being older than him. It has now been revealed that the husband meticulously planned and executed the murder. On October 28, he lured Lalita to Mandhar Devi temple under the guise of seeking blessings. The couple took an OLA cab to the temple, with the husband instructing the driver to wait for them. As they walked along a hill route towards the temple, the husband pushed Lalita, causing her to fall 20 feet down the hill. He then descended and strangled her with a saree before disposing of her body in the hilly area below.
In an attempt to mislead the police, the husband filed a missing person report at the Lonikand police station. However, the police saw through his deception and registered a murder case against him on Sunday night. The accused is now in police custody.
