In a heart-wrenching turn of events, a 38-year-old private firm employee, Amith, and his five-year-old daughter, Anvitha, lost their lives in a devastating accident on Tuesday. The incident occurred on the Adakamaranahalli flyover in Nelamangala, leaving Amith’s wife, Mamatha, severely injured and fighting for her life.
Hailing from Chelur and residing on Magadi road, the family had ventured out to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Sankranti. Little did they know that their joyful day would take such a tragic turn. While returning home, the trio tragically slipped from their scooter, losing control and resulting in this devastating accident.
In a separate incident that further adds to the sorrow, a 19-year-old student, Manoj Reddy, lost his life near the Boovanahalli bridge in Devanahalli. The young resident of Yelahanka was on his way to college when a private school bus struck him down while attempting a U-turn. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Reddy succumbed to his injuries, leaving his loved ones in deep grief. The driver of the bus now faces charges of negligence resulting in death.
Adding to the mounting toll, a 27-year-old construction laborer, Nagesh, met with a fatal accident in Devanahalli on Monday night. Nagesh, a native of Nanded and employed at an under-construction site in Devanahalli, was returning home with two companions when a speeding two-wheeler rider collided with them. Tragically, Nagesh lost his life, while the two injured individuals are currently undergoing treatment at a local hospital. Authorities from the Devanahalli traffic police department are actively investigating the incident.
