The Ministry of Defense has terminated all contracts with Hrynkevych’s companies, and all assets belonging to the family and their businesses have been seized.
What sets this scandal apart is the extravagant lifestyle of the Hrynkevych family that has come to light. Ukrainian blogger and volunteer Ihor Lachenkov shared intricate details of their luxurious lifestyle, suggesting that the funds for these luxuries may have been obtained through corrupt means. Expensive purchases, including properties, a Porsche Cayenne, and a commercial space, were allegedly made by Roman Hrynkevych and his fiancée Sonya Morozik.
Amidst the scandal, Morozik announced her breakup with Roman on Instagram, expressing her disgust and betrayal. She pledged to sell the expensive gifts she received and donate the funds to the AFU. However, questions arose regarding Morozik’s awareness of the Hrynkevych family’s wealth and potential real estate gifts.
As the investigation progressed, luxury assets belonging to the Hrynkevych family were discovered, including two apartments owned by Morozik. This led to the removal of Morozik’s murals in Kyiv and the cancellation of her exhibition at a prestigious studio.
