They used sea water, a water tanker, and fire breakers to ensure minimal damage to nearby structures. Only one house was destroyed, while two neighboring houses suffered partial damage.
During the incident, the 39-year-old house owner, Khairul Mohamed, sustained minor arm injuries. However, all other occupants were safely evacuated from the affected areas. The dedication and professionalism displayed by the firemen earned praise from the local community, as witnessed by Labuan MP Datuk Dr Suhaili Abd Rahman, who was present at the scene.
