North Little Rock Police Identify Woman and Infant Found Dead on Interstate 440 On-Ramp

In a tragic incident, the North Little Rock Police Department has identified the woman and infant who were found dead on the side of the Interstate 440 on-ramp from Highway 165 on Tuesday morning. The victims have been identified as 27-year-old Teangela Tate of Jacksonville and her 2-month-old son Noel Mott.

Authorities initially treated this case as a death investigation, but based on the evidence they have gathered so far, it has now been escalated to a homicide investigation. Detectives are not releasing any information on what led them to make this decision.

Unfortunately, there was another child found at the scene, a 1.5-year-old, who is currently hospitalized and listed in critical condition. This child is also Tate’s. The North Little Rock community is in shock over this tragic turn of events.

Autopsies for both Tate and her infant son are pending, which will hopefully provide more information about what happened.
