Title: Woman Arrested for Assaulting and Strangling Husband in Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam: In a distressing incident in the Parvathipuram Manyam district of Visakhapatnam, a woman was arrested by the police for violently assaulting and strangling her intoxicated husband. The accused has been identified as Chintala Suguna, while her husband was Chintala Tirupati, a 45-year-old lorry driver. The incident took place at their residence in Salur on January 17, when Tirupati was found dead. Following a complaint from his mother, the police registered a case.

According to the investigation, Suguna had been involved in an extramarital affair with another man from the same locality. Ignoring Tirupati’s warnings, she expressed her desire to live with her paramour. In response, she kicked him in the testicles and later strangled him with a scarf.

Tirupati and Suguna had been married for about 15 years and have two children together. However, their relationship had soured due to Suguna’s infidelity. The police discovered that she had been involved with the other man for some time, leading to increasing tensions within the marriage.

The arrest of Suguna sheds light on the prevalence of domestic violence and the tragic consequences it can have. It serves as a reminder of the importance of addressing such issues within society and promoting healthy relationships.

In recent news, the police in Tirupati also apprehended three individuals involved in bike theft. Arcot Rajesh, Chittoor Munisankar, and Penubaku Balakrishna, along with a minor, were arrested in Nayudupet town. The authorities successfully recovered nine stolen bikes, while the minor was sent to a juvenile home.

These incidents highlight the efforts of law enforcement agencies in tackling various criminal activities and maintaining public safety in the region. The police’s swift actions in apprehending the culprits are commendable and serve as a deterrent to potential offenders.

It is crucial for communities to address and prevent such incidents by promoting awareness, education, and support for victims of domestic violence. By fostering a safe and inclusive environment, individuals can be empowered to seek help and break free from abusive situations.

As the investigation into the assault and murder of Tirupati continues, it is hoped that justice will be served, providing closure for the victim’s family and serving as a reminder of the need for a society free from violence and abuse.
