The incident took place at their residence in Salur on January 17, when Tirupati was found dead. Following a complaint from his mother, the police registered a case.
According to the investigation, Suguna had been involved in an extramarital affair with another man from the same locality. Ignoring Tirupati’s warnings, she expressed her desire to live with her paramour. In response, she kicked him in the testicles and later strangled him with a scarf.
Tirupati and Suguna had been married for about 15 years and have two children together. However, their relationship had soured due to Suguna’s infidelity. The police discovered that she had been involved with the other man for some time, leading to increasing tensions within the marriage.
