New Delhi Man Found Dead: Three Friends Arrested for Murder

New Delhi was left in shock as the body of 35-year-old Hitendra Singh was discovered in a park in the Kotwali area. Singh had been reported missing by his family after he failed to return home from work and his phone was switched off. The police, who were struggling to identify the body, had posted notices in various locations seeking information.

The breakthrough in the case came when Singh’s family saw his picture on one of the notices at the police station. Once identified, the police analyzed the deceased’s phone and internet activity, leading them to three suspects – Ricky, James, and Annie. A senior officer revealed that the trio had killed Singh following a monetary dispute that had turned violent.

The investigation into the crime scene revealed a superficial injury mark on the deceased’s neck. CCTV footage from over 800 cameras was reviewed to track down the route taken by the suspects’ vehicle. The family members, who had gone to the police station to file a missing report, provided crucial information about Singh’s last known whereabouts with the three suspects.

After obtaining their location, the police conducted raids at their possible hideouts in Delhi-NCR and successfully apprehended them. The suspects were identified as Paramveer Singh alias James, Harneet Singh alias Ricky, and Priyanka alias Annie. During interrogation, they admitted to their involvement in the murder, stating that they had planned to eliminate Singh after an argument turned heated.

The suspects lured Singh to a party and then strangled him with a bedsheet. The car used to transport and dump the body has been seized as evidence.

The case serves as a reminder of the importance of vigilance and safety, even among friends. The police are commended for their diligent work in solving the case and bringing the culprits to justice.
