Tragic accident in Tabuk City Claims Two Lives and Injures Four Others

In a devastating road accident that occurred on Friday, January 26, in Barangay Nambaran, Tabuk City, Kalinga, a collision between a truck and a wing van resulted in the loss of two lives and left four others injured. The driver and his helper were among the fatalities, while the injured victims were immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment.

The victims have been identified as Pepito Pagaduan, a 46-year-old truck driver from Barangay San Julian in Tabuk City, and Santiago Boquiren Jr., a 57-year-old truck helper from Quezon City. It is truly heartbreaking to see lives cut short due to a tragic accident like this.

According to initial investigations, the collision occurred when the truck unexpectedly collided with the wing van from behind. The impact of the collision propelled the wing van forward, causing the truck to plunge into a nearby river. The force of the accident was so severe that it claimed the lives of Pagaduan and Boquiren Jr. upon arrival at the hospital.

Among the injured victims are Serio Paskaran, a companion of the fatalities from Cauayan City, Isabela, and Carl Adrian, a 36-year-old wing van driver from Santiago City. Two passengers of the wing van were also injured in the incident. Fortunately, Adrian and the two passengers have been treated and released from the hospital, but they have been taken into police custody as a follow-up investigation is currently underway.

Tabuk City, located in the province of Kalinga, is known for its scenic landscapes and rich cultural heritage. This tragic accident has cast a dark shadow over the city, leaving residents and authorities deeply saddened by the loss of lives and the injuries sustained.
