Las Vegas Police Seek Public’s Help in Identifying Hit-and-Run Vehicle

Las Vegas police are requesting assistance from the public to identify a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run crash that occurred on Valentine’s Day. The incident took place at the intersection of W. Charleston Blvd and S. Decatur Blvd at around 9:33 p.m.

According to investigators, witnesses, evidence at the scene, and video surveillance footage all point to a gray or silver SUV traveling west on W. Charleston Blvd. The vehicle was reportedly in the middle of three travel lanes at the time of the incident.

The victim, identified as 48-year-old Lejon Darden, was crossing the street outside of a marked crosswalk when the SUV struck him. Darden was rushed to University Medical Center’s Trauma Center with life-threatening injuries.
