Sam Knopp : “University of Colorado Senior, 24, Shot Dead in Campus Dorm Room – Mother Slams Gun Violence”

In a tragic incident at the University of Colorado – Colorado Springs, two individuals were found shot dead in a dorm room. The victims have been identified as 24-year-old Sam Knopp and 26-year-old Celie Rain Montgomery. Police responded to the shooting around 6 am on Friday, discovering both victims with gunshot wounds to the head. It remains unclear what their relationship was.

Sam Knopp, a senior at the university, was known for his musical talents, particularly his skill in playing the guitar. On the other hand, Celie Rain Montgomery did not attend the university. The police have stated that the incident is not believed to be a murder-suicide, and both deaths are being treated as homicides.

Knopp, a beloved member of the Visual and Performing Arts department, was described as an accomplished guitar player and a talented musician. Meanwhile, Montgomery was a single mother-of-two who worked as a freelance copywriter specializing in health and wellness.

The coroner’s office will determine the exact cause of death, but it has been confirmed that both individuals were shot at least once. The police have emphasized that this was an isolated incident between individuals who knew each other, and not a random attack against the school or other students.

As the investigation continues, no suspects have been apprehended or named. The police department is withholding information about potential leads and suspects at this time. The community has come together to offer support, with a healing walk scheduled to honor the victims on Monday afternoon at the UCCS campus.

The university has cancelled classes on Monday but will provide walk-in counseling and support services for those affected by this tragic event. The campus community is urged to come together in solidarity during this difficult time.
