Anthony Tull : “Kansas assault suspect found hiding on top”

Law enforcement authorities in Brown County are currently investigating a wanted suspect on additional charges after successfully tracking him down. The incident unfolded just after midnight on February 18th when sheriff’s deputies received a tip that an individual with a Richardson County Nebraska Felony Warrant for 1st Degree Assault was in Hiawatha, Kansas, as reported by Sheriff John Merchant.

Deputies swiftly located the wanted suspect, who has been identified as 47-year-old Anthony Tull of Hiawatha, hiding in a vacant building. Tull was found perched on top of a small room in the building and was taken into custody without any resistance. In addition to the initial felony warrant, Tull is now also facing charges of Felony Obstruction.

This is not the first encounter law enforcement has had with Tull. In July, deputies had arrested him on charges of Possession of Meth, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Obstruction, and a Hiawatha Failure to Appear Warrant. Sheriff Merchant provided this background information to shed light on Tull’s history with the law.

The town of Hiawatha, Kansas, where the arrest took place, is a close-knit community known for its peaceful atmosphere. The residents were shocked to hear about the wanted suspect hiding in their midst, but they can now breathe a sigh of relief knowing that law enforcement has taken swift action to ensure the safety of the town.

As the investigation continues, authorities are urging anyone with information related to the case to come forward. The cooperation of the community is crucial in ensuring that justice is served and that incidents like this are prevented in the future.
